2020 CSA Week 2

Hi everyone,
It's week 2 of the CSA, and typical for early June, it's a mad dash to get everything planted, keep up with harvesting the incoming greens, mowing and baling hay, and thinking ahead to future plantings of lettuce, pearl onions and greens for later in the summer and fall. But things are going well! Most of the big crops are in, and the stuff coming out of the greenhouse is beautiful.
Our experiment this year was to see if we could get broccoli to grow in the greenhouse and mature for the early weeks of the CSA before it got too hot. Well, the heat came early, but the broccoli managed to size up anyways! So that's a special treat for this week.

I love this quick way to whip up a tasty dinner with a bag full of arugula. It's great with pasta, of course, but also good on toast or with potatoes.
Ok, so this isn't a recipe for broccoli, but my husband made it last night, and we had it with some lightly steamed broccoli from the farm and it was **amazing**.
A simple, tasty dinner from Moosewood.
4) Stir-Fried Asian Greens with Chilis and Garlic
I love lightly wilted greens, and the Asian Greens mix has such interesting flavors! I like this recipe because it leans in to their spiciness with the addition of the chilis and garlic.
Have a great week! Sarah VanNorstrand
