Week 12

Hi everyone,
What a beautiful bit of weather we're getting this weekend! It's a treat to have bright sunny days and a break in the mega thunderstorms. Perfect weather for the fair, for camping, and pretty darn good for farming, too! We've been hard at work keeping up with the constant influx of veggies- picking beans every 3 days, picking cucumbers and squash every two days, picking tomatoes whenever they need it, harvesting broccoli and peppers and herbs and greens and some fruit, too! The peach, pear and apple trees at the farm are loaded to the breaking point this year, so if you stop by the farm on the weekends, you can take home some delicious all-natural peaches, pears, and in a few weeks, apples, too.

We took advantage of the wet weather and spent Wednesday in the greenhouse getting the tomatoes trellised up to the top of the greenhouse. It's always a bit of a jungle, but we got it under control and they should be all set to produce until it gets really cold.

Please remember to return your tomato and onion containers- We will reuse them or recycle them as needed. But please note, we cannot accept any containers that we didn't send out to you. We've had some folks putting other plastic containers in with their bags, and we can't use those. So please recycle or dispose of those as your county allows. Thanks for your help!
