Week 20!

Hi everyone,
This is it! Week 20! In some ways, it's felt like a long season due to the difficult summer weather, but I always find myself a bit surprised when it's the final week of the CSA. Time flies when you're... farming! Thank you all so much for being a part of our CSA this year. We so appreciate your support!
We packed you up some hefty bags to see you through for a few weeks. Also, Sue & Claude will be at the Cazenovia Farmers' Market in November and December. So make sure you stop by if you're looking for groceries for your holiday feasts! They will also have their farm stand open on the weekends, Friday through Sunday, 9 to 6. So this doesn't have to be the end of eating fresh and local!

In Your Bag:
Arugula
Green Cabbage Carrots
Fingerling Potatoes
Winter Squash (assorted varieties)
Leeks
Mixed Onions
Garlic
Tomatoes
Cherry Tomatoes

So plenty to work with here! You've seen most of it before, but here are some parting recipes.
1) Potato, Arugula & Brie Pizza
This looks interesting. One of our CSA members shared it with me a few years ago. But it would be worth a try! And here's a recipe for pizza dough.
2) Arugula Salad with Roasted Beets and Balsamic Reduction
A classic pairing of arugula and beets. A great fall salad!
3) Beef and Cabbage Stir-fry with Peanut Sauce
Yum!! This one is right up my alley.
This will work with any winter squash- so don't worry if you don't have buttercup!
Well folks, it's been great! Thanks again, and I hope you have a happy, healthy winter season and we look forward to next year!
All the best,
Sarah VanNorstrand
